Remarks (Bemerkungen)
The AS 332 Super Puma was developed in the mid-seventies as an improved and enlarged successor to the Puma. First flight 13 September 1978, and first deliveries followed in mid-1981. Military versions also available, as AS 532UL/AL Cougar. Also for military use there is a short-fuselage variant (AS 532UC/AC and AS 532SC for naval operations). Further development in the late 80s was the Mk.II, with new rotor system and a further fuselage stretch plus sophisticated CRT cockpit.
