Costs (Kosten)
The Falcon 2000EX will cost about 10 per cent more than a Falocn 2000, that is 22 to 24 million US-Dollars.

Customers (Kunden)
Executive Jet has an agreement for 25 plus 25 options, signed on 18 April 2001 at the EBACE in Geneva.

Remarks (Bemerkungen)
The 2000EX is a longer-range version of the popular Falcon 2000, which will remain in production in parallel. It provides 25 per cent more range. This increase is made possible by the new PW308C turbofans as well as a 3815 lbs increase in the fuel capacity (+ 31 per cent). The main benefit is to allow westbound nonstop flights from Paris or London to the east coast of the United States, even with strong winter headwinds. Because of the higher operating weights, the Falcon 2000EX uses a heavier duty landing gear and brake system.
The Falcon 2000EX will get the new EASy flight deck from about 2004.

History (Geschichte)
The Falcon 2000EX was launched in October 1999, and officially unveiled at the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) conference in New Orleans on 10 October 2000.
At the EBACE show in Geneva on 18 April 2001, Executive Jet signed an agreement for 50 aircraft plus 50 options for its NetJets fractional ownership programme. This deal is said to be worth up to 1,3 billion US-Dollars. This was Dassaults largest civil contract since 1963.
The first Falcon 2000EX was shown to the press in July 2001 at Bordeaux-Mérignac.
On 25 October 2001, the aircraft took to the skies above Mérignac, France, for a one hour, 45-minute first flight. Test pilots Patrick Experton and Hervé Laverne took the plane to an altitude of 35,000 feet and a maximum airspeed of .82 Mach during the flight. The Falcon 2000EX, s/n 001, performed a series of engine and systems tests and demonstrated excellent low-speed flying qualities.
Both JAA and FAA certification is expected by third quarter 2002, closely followed by the first deliveries of the Falcon 2000EX equipped with Collins ProLine IV avionics in the second quarter of 2003. The EASy flight deck-equipped 2000EXs will start deliveries in 2004.
