It will offer non-stop flights from Paris to Tokyo or Los Angeles. Main feature of the Falcon 7X is the wing. It is larger than previously, features a supercitical profile and has more sweep. This will allow an MMO of Mach 0.9. Fly-by-Wire controls are implemented for the first time. The cabin has the same cross section as the Falcon 900EX, but will be stretched by over 8 feet. The cockpit will be based on the "EASy" concept by Honeywell (Primus Epic family roots). Four large, 14,1 inch displays will be fitted. "Partner-Suppliers" selected for the Falcon 7X are:
History (Geschichte) After some months of rumours, the Falcon FNX was unveiled by Dassault at its press conference on the opening day of the Aérosalon at Le Bourget on 16 June 2001. More details were revealed by the US distributer Falcon Jet Corp on 29 October 2001 at Teterboro, New Jersey. At that time, the designation was changed to Falcon 7X. Also, major subcontractors and the engine choice were announced. A first flight is now predicted for early 2005, a slight slip in regard to first announcement of the end of 2004. Deliveries should begin after the certification, which is scheduled for mid-2006.
