History (Geschichte) The Falcon 900EX was announce at the NBAA meeting in New Orleans in October 1994. Prototype roll-out was on 13 March 1995, with first flight following on 1 June. During the inital flight, which lasted one hour and 45 minutes, pilots Guy Mitaux-Maurouard and Jean-Louis Dumas flew the aircraft at up to 41000 ft in altitude and to Mach 0.82. After 350 flight test hours, fhe French DGAC certification was obtained on 31 May 1996, and FAA approval followed on 19 July. First customer to take delivery of a Falcon 900EX was Anheuser-Busch 0n 1 November 1996. By October 1998, some 35 aircraft were delivered. Cat III certifcation of the Falcon 900EX with the Flight Dynamics HGS-2850 Head-up Guidance System was granted by the French DGAC on 26 January 2000.
