Customers (Kunden) The United Arab Emirates ordered 12 (plus 12 on option) in 1994, for 5,5 million DM. Deliveries began in 1997. Competition (Konkurrenz) Slingsby Firefly Remarks (Bemerkungen) Design of the G 115T began in 1991, and the first aircraft flew on 11 June 1992. Type certificate by the Luftfahrt-Bundesamt (LBA) was received on 5 December 1995. The UAE production aircraft were preceded by two pre-production prototoypes (also seen in UAE registration). Deliveries began via airlift to the Khalifa Bin Zayed Air College at Al Ain in January/February 1997.
