Remarks (Bemerkungen)
The L 139 was developed from the L 39 to meet the requirements of new generation jet trainers, featuring advanced systems mostly sourced from western companies. These include a Flight Visions HUD and Bendix/King avionics. It first flew on 8 May 1993. In flight tests since then, it has so far failed to attract a customer.
