The Learjet 45XR is an improved version of the Learjet 45. It will be be able to carry eight passengers and two crew more than 2,000 nautical miles (3,704 km) and offer faster climb times and increased maximum speeds, at given altitudes. It also offers significant improvements out of more hot weather and high elevation locations; for example, up to an additional 1,000 nautical miles (1,852 km) out of Aspen, Colo.
The Learjet 45XR features a redesigned interior incorporating superior comfort, increased functionality and optimized lighting. Improvements include six inches (15.24 cm) more leg room in the cabin, two inches (5.08 cm) increased seat width, and more galley storage.
The new Bombardier Learjet 45XR will be powered by increased performance Honeywell TFE731-20BR engines and offer a 1,000-pound increase in maximum take-off weight, providing increased flexibility and greater range over competing aircraft in the same category.
Current operators of the Learjet 45 will be able to upgrade their aircraft to the performance level of the Learjet 45XR through service bulletins available from Bombardier Aerospace.
History (Geschichte)
The Bombardier Learjet 45 XR was unveiled at the eve of the Farnborough air show on 21 July 2002 in London.
It is scheduled to enter service in mid-2003.
