No other source holds that many data, facts, and photos of the new European high-tech fighter aircraft of the 21st century. All three aircraft are the result of a long process of political decision making and development, which FLUG REVUE and Luftwaffen-Forum have followed closely over the last two decades. Everything that the editorial office has collected during this time can now be experienced on one CD-ROM ñ and much more, because videos and animations just cannot be printed on paper. The CD-ROM presents 900 screen-"pages" with almost 2000 colour pictures, approximately 20 video sequences, several computer animations, graphics, and performance diagrams, giving a complete overview of technology, history, and the future service career of the three fighters. Original manufacturer documentation describes all assembly groups and systems. Equipment like ejection seats is not forgotten, illustrated with extraordinary videos from the test program. The aircraft's weapon systems are presented in detail, including the different air-to-air missiles, bombs, and cruise missiles. The CD-ROM includes extensive information about the companies that make the fighters, including a complete list of the subcontractors. The timeline covers the events from 1976 to 1996 and shows the month-on-month progress of the programs. It includes other important events in the area of military aviation. Did you know that MiG-29 and Su-27 took-off for their first flights in 1977? The documentation includes original documents like the Gripen Stockholm crash report and the ominous reorientation decision of the Fighter 90 program. The EURO-FIGHTER CD-ROM offers fascinaiting details on Gripen, Rafale and EF2000 which often will surprise the reader. Just to scroll through the computer "pages" will take hours. With a DM 89 purchase price, the EURO-FIGHTER CD-ROM is a very good offer, especially considering that the package includes the separate archives CD with the fully searchable text of all FLUG REVUE stories on the three programmes. The CD-ROM is easy to install. The program runs well even with a normal IBM compatible PC with a 486 processor, 8 MB of main memory, SVGA graphics card, at least 256 colours, and double-speed CD-ROM drive. Of course, a sound card, quadruple-speed CD-ROM drive, and high-colour graphics will enhance the presentation. The EURO-FIGHTER CD-ROM may be ordered from: m/comm, Dieselstrasse 5, 50859 Köln, Germany, Fax: +49-2234-94690-44. From page 54 of FLUG REVUE 9/96
